I changed to my bravo last week from a clio, when it rains heavily the clio had really fast wiper speed on maximum.

I noticed that the bravo on maximum front wiper speed is still pretty slow - worried about when I'm making a trip in torrential rain that it won't keep up.

Is anybody elses the same?

Thanks.

Must say, never I had the impression that the wipers are slow. Maybe there is something wrong with the motor. If you like, you can check how many full cycles do they make in lets say 10 seconds and we can compare it so you can determin if wipers motor is ok...

On the fastest setting, wipers on my Bravo do a full cycle in a bit less than a second (approx 12 full cycles in 10 seconds). So if your wipers are noticeably slower, something is wrong with them...

10 full cycles on 10 seconds with engine started and 9 cycles on 10 seconds with engine off. Of course on fastest mode and wet window.

Slow of front wiper is because of below mentioned reasons:-

- Shafts coming through the body that wiper arms attached gets rusty and bind. On some vehicles it can be replaced separately and on other change of complete set "wiper transmission or linkage" is required.
- Bad motor

If you want to further satisfy yourself you must consult auto electrician or top rated Fiat mechanics.
