Here goes
Initially my wipers worked, except when you pushed the stalk upwards to 'flash wash and wipe the screen'- This resulted in the 20 amp fuse blowing each time. I suspected a faulty stalk, and after recieving a quote from Fiat for £ 240 to fix, decided on a trip to the scrapyard. I got 2 replacement units ( for £25)
Now, after refitting, the rear wiper works, the rear screenwash works, the front screenwash works, but the wipers do not work in any position ( but at least the fuse stays intact )
I've taken apart the units, and the contacts are good.
Is there a relay that might be blown ?
Is there other fuses other than the 20 amp under the dash ?
I suspect that whilst at the garage they may have disconnected something somewhere - is there anything under the bonnet that controls the wipers ?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
