Front Pipe

Right im down to the final thing, that needs doing to my car until it decides to play up again, i need a need front pipe to my exhaust system as its blowing.

Kwik Fit, quoted me £135 which i refuse to pay so does anyone know where i can get one cheap because my mate will fit it for nothing!

Stainless steel you're looking around 150 with a flexi (could vary a lot depending where you go tho).

Engine size?

And check where your lambda sensor is just to be sure (near the front or back of the pipe)

@nico Its a 1.2 1999.

@Ash would one off a 1.6 fit a 1.2?as i know the engines are simillar in there setup?

don't scratch it ffs dude, I bought my replacement front pipe from there and they messed me about something chronic
I took the old one off and went to fit the new one only to find that they had welded the mounting plate on upside down so the bolts that join it to the manifold didn't line up.
yes they may be cheap from there but I had to fork out to have the plate cut off and rewelded back on the other way round as they took so long getting back to me. I'd had enough.
so just make sure to check it before trying to fit it.

also the bloody thing was about half an inch to an inch longer making the rest of the exhaust sit dodgy on the rubbers

Well me and my mate are doing it later, it looks the same as my knakered one, but no doubt it will be fun and games!

I cant drive around for another day with that sound, it sounds like a subaru on tickover at the mo.

the hole in mine actually made it sound quite pleasing, and it reduced the mid range resonance too

Wish mine had that affect, its slowed me down and has probably been blowing for ages but only really noticed since ditching those poxy induction kits!
