You'll have to take them out Al, then cut through the black stuff.
You'll then have to stick them together after you've sprayed the plastic bits inside. Remember though when you reseal the lighting units they have to be sealed properly as they're a sealed unit. If you leave any air holes, the inside of the lights will get shed loads of condensation on them.
