I'm sure I've read somewhere (possibly even on here) that the front springs require a specific type of compression tool to disassemble the front suspension prior to removing it from the van.

Can anybody confirm or deny and hooefully shed some light on what's needed?

Thanks

As you have had no reply and just in case you haven't solved the issue, please bare with me as the last customer I had with an 850 was in the 1970s.
Does it have a transverse leaf spring like older 500s? If so when all bolts were loose and ready to remove with suspension hanging down, to remove the last of the tension in the spring to allow bolts in shackles to come out we had a long bar with two rods welded to it at right angles to the bar on the end, it would slot over / around the spring towards the outer end so pulling up on it released the load on the shackle bolts allowing removal.
Remember spring normally takes the weight of the car so be careful;)

Hi, thanks for the reply
As its an 850t it has coil sprung double wishbone set up.

I have now got it sorted thanks.
