Hello all!
I have a 1980 X1/9 that I bought a few years ago as either a project or as a parts car for a future purchase. I have decided to run in next year's 2007 BABE Rally so it's time to join some Fiat forums and get the car running! My car is a real beater, so it definitely adheres to the spirit of the rally!
BABE Rally (Big Apple to the Big Easy (that's New York City to New Orleans for those of you overseas)) has as its main rule that cars running in it must cost LESS THAN $250!! So it will be quite an adventure! (I paid $240 for my X on ebay) Even more of an adventure since I will have to drive the car all the way to NYC first, then all the way back for the rally. I'm sure there will be much praying, much coaxing, and much swearing before all is said and done!
Most of my online time is spent on the Contour boards (that's the Mondeo for you luckier Europeans). Mine is a silver 1998 Contour SE that I love dearly! It is by far one of the best handling small sports sedans on the road. You could say its the poor man's BMW.
Enough rambling on from me. I look forward to learning much about my Fiat, and hopefully contributing some knowledge as well.
