FOR ALL PUNTO MK2 OWNERS!!!

I have been told by my local garage (who in turn have been advised by their fiat dealership) that having condensation in my headlamps is a common problem in fiats and that they have done everything in their power to fix the situation.

Basically, I am looking to how common this problem is, i.e. do any of the punto mk2 owners on here have their full front headlamp lenses covered in condensation which doesn't go away?

It is a common problem. I had it on my Mk2 and a lot of the guys on www.puntoforum.co.uk have also had it.

The fix is to fit a vent in the back of the lamp. It helps, but doesn't completely resolve the problem.

You could try asking for new lamps to be fitted if the problem is very bad.

a lot of the new mercs with wing mirror mounted side indicators have this problem so take heart it's not exclusive to Fiats, i blame Valeo

I had condensation in one of my headlights on my mk2 punto, i think that i found the problem im having and that was that the inside lght fixing was no clipped in properly at one end. i did this last night and over night the condensation has gone down, only a thin line along bottom now.
