General Foglights

[Fix_it_again_tommorrow]

Hi ive just installed a new cd/mp3 player to a 1998 punto and as ive did last time i blow a fuse doing it

Anyway been to halfrods got new fuses and replaced the blown ones but my foglights will not work i have checked every fuse in the main conpartment and glove conpartment and cant find the problem

help please

Sounds a bit random, but have you acutally checked the bulbs themselves?

The fog lights probably run off a relay, and you might have fried it when blowing the other fuse? Some relays have a fuse mounted in them, so check the relays in the fuse box and see if that might have happen.

can't remember where the wiring from the fog switch goes, but have a look at the back of the switches and see if fitting the stero dislodged the wires... worth a try. also as above, check the fuse for the fogs

Rear Fogs - Fuse #8 - 10A - which is the middle one on the bottom row - normal fuse box

Front Fogs - Fuse #2 - 20A - in the auxiliary fusebox - that's in the top of the glovebox

Coincidentally, the relays for the front and rear fogs are in the auxiliary fusebox too
