Hi, I’ve encountered a very weird issue with my 2010 500. I drove it, parked and locked it as normal. When I came back to the car 30 mins later, it unlocked normally but when I put the key in it would not start and the display and lights went black. The remote locking then stopped working too. My breakdown service came and said that it was a flat battery and he managed to jump start it and I ran the car for 15 mins then drove home. As I was parking I stalled the engine and it cut out again and I had to be jump started to finish parking. Since then the remote locking has not come back.
The car had a new battery and alternator earlier this year and although I don’t drive it that much, I’m surprised that the battery should be completely flat.
I have tried locking it with the normal key and the spare key but neither work.
Someone tried to break into the car last year so the lock on the door is warped/broken so I can’t get the key in to manually lock it.
Has anyone experienced anything like this at all? The car drove fine when it had been jump started but still wouldn’t lock.
