I have seen a n FK suspension kit on ebay that i am thinking of getting but has anyone got the kit on their Stilo and can offer some feedback. Mine is a 115JTD btw.

thanks

It is just the basic shock kit. AP coilovers seem nice as well. Haven't looked at the FK coilies but if they are cheaper than the AP ones then i will consider them. i can wait till the new year too.

i bought a DTS coilover set which is basically a AP set with another sticker on it - some parts are even marked AP , just the price is lower than the AP kit (i paid 425 euro - about 365 pound?)
It drives very well, good damping with reasonable comfort left.

Those do look like a set of AP coilovers, the only difference is the actual coils (the front shock and spring). The AP ones are much 'tighter' and compact, not a large spring like on the picture about.

Just thought i'd inform.

Have you pushed a car a bit through the twisties to test them? I guess anything within reason would be better than standard.

I'm trying to find a good kit with Eibach performance without going over the top and mutilating my bank balance, hence why I'd settled on the FK kit originally

the handling of the car is very good when i try to reach the limits of the tyre grip, no body twisting, no problems with hard braking, it feels very reliable .
I tried to find a picture of the actual AP coilover set for the Stilo, it seems AP uses the same (example?) picture for all makes and models?
Personally i don't care if there would be a difference between the AP and DTS kit, i think the DTS kit offers a lot of quality for it's price ...

Erm how does that work? You've got coilovers at the front, and conventional springs and dampers at the rear? What's the point of having ride height adjustment at the front only?

check post 12, he says 1.6 stilo, no difference in the suspension between 3 and 5 door. i guess if DTS don't want to know and we can get a few together try for a group buy with AP

Yellow, can you confirm that the first link will fit a 2003, three door, 1.6 petrol stilo? My German isn't really up to scratch ;)

And yeah, I checked on DTS' website and they wouldn't ship to UK :(

yes, my first link is for the 1.2 , 1.4, 1.6 , 1.8 Petrol Stilo's and the lighter Diesel versions

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5...pt=Autoteile_Zubeh%C3%B6r&hash=item5adcbf4b54

(not for the 103 kW version or the Abarth version).

The other two links are for the 103 kW Diesel and the Abarth version.

I would send the DTS shop an email (mr. Häfner ), let them tell why they wouldn't ship to the UK - i think they will be interested if other forum members want to buy too if they read positive reports....
