I own a New Panda 1.2 with factory-fitted speakers (two front, two back)

I would like to replace them with better ones, and/or add tweeters and a subwoofer.

Can anyone advise me on how to access the speakers? How to remove the door panels to change them?

What size are the speakers and tweeters?

Is it worth replacing the four speakers (the sound is terrible right now) or just adding tweeters and woofer will improve the sound?

Any comments would be appreciated.

i have changed all the speakers in my fiat and i got the hole lot of ebay.
You need speaker cases but for the hole job cost me £80 and the sound is much much better. :D

thompsons ltd was the shop on ebay

This is the place i got all i need very nice people
hope this helps

there are other threads on the forum about this if it helps, you can get the correct speaker spacers from www.bluespot.com

access to the speakers is relatively easy, one allen type bolt behind the blanking plate on the door handle, one screw behind the tweeter 'fake', the blanks can be removed carefully by prising with a flat bladed screwdriver. Another allen bolt beneath the arm rest, and 3 (could be two) screws at the bottom of the door card, gently pull the card around its edges to release the clips, you then lift the card upwards to free it from the edge of the window, once free the handle mechanism can be un-clipped and the card moved clear. It may also be wise to remove the cover from the wing mirror area (is just clipped on).

Speaker sizes can be found with a quick search of the forum ( I've forgotten the sizes lol)

best tool to fit tweeters is a dremel if you're fitting them where the 'fakes' are.

Just finished fitting my alphasonic components into my panda.... Sounds SO much better! Had a bit of fun mounting the mids, as I failed to plan ahead and get the adaptors, so I chopped up the original speakers and used these as adaptors! A bit of hassle but it worked in the end! I cut out the dummy tweeters and mounted the real ones there, and stuck the crossovers to the bottom of the door. Just the sub and amps to go.....
