General Fitting headlights

Hi

Is it ok to buy off the shelf headlights from Halfords for my 2002 Ulysse 20.0 JTD? I got some from there, and I fitted them, but they seem to be very dim, and hardly illuminate the road, and a multi-colour refractive line is visible at the edge of the beam.

Any advice would be very useful, as the user manual doesn't mention anything particulaly useful.

Do you mean bulbs for the headlights or the headlight units. Is your 2002 a new or older model Ulysse as the new shape has the "globe" style lenses which react differently.

I use Osram Silverstar bulbs which are 50% brighter and they really work.

It's the later model, actually, I think it's a 2003 model.

Where's a good place to get the bulbs you mention?
