Technical Fitting a new SUB

Can anyone tell me if I wired my new sub using the erxisting wiring that already exists for my factory fitted sub on my Mk2 would it work.

I don't wanna rewire all the way back to the headunit if I can simply tansfer my old (rubbish) sub for my new one?

personally i would re-wire it for a better quality wire.

it would only take about an hour and a half, max, to do

You'll need an amp to power the sub, which needs a power lead, remote lead, ground and phono leads anyway.......

As said, its dead easy on a mk2

I've already got a built in amp into my head unit (it ain't the standard unit)

I already bought a £700 pioneer unit with built in amp that can power up to 2 1000W subs easy. Been using the old original sub until now but now i am gonna get around to fitting my new 10" 700w sub

well i guess thats its possoble but the factory fit fiat amp, doesnt run of sub out like alot of stereos have the factory fit sub gets its signal from the standard rear left and right speakers wires. it uses the auto antenna wire as a signal to turn it on and off so that you can use ?. you still going to need the wires running from your head unti as that has the amp in it, were as teh factory fit sub has built in amp so when you takle the sub out you are removing the amp also.
