General Fitting A New Airhorn

General Fitting A New Airhorn

Def easier not to remove the bumper, just jack it it and get under.

The horn is held onto a bracket by one bolt. But that bracket is held to the car body by two bolts. It will be easier just to remove these if your just taking the horn out.

I'd not put the nautilus down in that position if i was doing it though. There is a lot of spray. If you def are putting it there, make sure you use that breather attachment with a tube attached :)

im not hot on electrical terms etc. There has been a lot written here and a little confusion too.

brilliant, cheers the 2 of you ! exactly what i was after !!
makes it much easier now.
One final question.......the 2 wires at the steering wheel horn push, presently one red, one black, these ok? i note from your diagram that one is black the other purple?
what will the red be and the black be?

I'm not going anywhere near the steering wheel with my thinking.

I am on about using the two wires that currently connect to the current horn in the engine bay. That way the relay can be placed next to the horn, and you have to do far less fiddling. with routing lots of wires.

ok i get ya there.

But can someone tell me what the 2 present wires are/lead to from the horn-push. 1 black, 1 red. Does one go to ignition? What should i do with these?
Finally, do Halfords sell all the bits n bobs i need?
cheers
