First Stages of My Carputer (Version 2)

This weekend i have been starting to rebuild my Carputer...

I have relocated the radio so its below the heater vents and fitted a DVD-RW drive (the one in the pic is a temporary DVD-rom drive, as the one they sent didn't work).

I am in the process of moulding the screen more into the dash, using the radio surround as a template...

I have already noticed its much safer, as i can change the radio stations etc, without looking or moving my hand off the gearstick, and i don't have to take my eyes of the road for as long as i had to when i glance at the screen...

I have installed most of the actual PC into the car, but no pics of that yet. You will find out why at a later date

The fabric is unchanged at the moment, but i am changing it for leather(ette) fairly shortly...

That looks pretty cool so far Daz! Whats the tan coloured stuff you have used on bits if the interior?

I hope to get my HGt back this week and carry on with my ice install too.

Its like a suede material, to be honest it looks better in the flesh, but when it gets dirty it difficult to clean without upsetting the glue holding it on...so i'm switching to leather and hopefully that will be a bit better...
