Actually its 1 of 2 scratches.. But i was wondering if theres a remedy for it.

Passenger door has a 6 inch surface-like scratch, i'm pretty sure a hosepipe knocked against it (friend had hose pipe & was hosing his car when it hit mine)

I tried rubbing it with alittle bit of super resin polish but it didnt come off, i think t-cut would be abit over the top (not to mention on a brand new car)

Does anyone know of any other way scratch hiding/removing secrets that dont involve anything dangerous to the paint?

Other than that, gf removed a plastic suitcase from my boot & knocked the painted bumper as she was lifting it out so its now scuffed... unfortunately, i think this is just a design fault so i've just got the let that one drop.

1) probably wants something like t-cut metalic followed up by meguires Scratch x then SRP

2 slap GF and make her repay you in kind ;)

I shall get some of the above, my new shed is already loaded with car products... anymore & people will start to think i have a problem (well, if they don't already)

I ran upstairs to slap the gf & put her in her place, but the mare woke up ill & i had to take her to mcdonalds

Ohhh those bumper protectors look like an interesting bit of kit, wonder if it looks ok or if it looks obvious, might go well with the Evo due to the plastic patches on bumper etc :D

Would love to see one of each colour on a car in real life (y)
Any idea if the "Grande Punto" one would fit the Evo?

Post pics! :)

Will probably be a buy for me anyway, the bumper is just so painfully obviously going to get hit by everyone with suitcases / sports bags / boxes.

Also covers someone's birthday present! he's a cash in hand DIYer and he always complains about his bumper being knocked about.

well i ordered one today will post up when it arrives (y)

(y)

Not gotten around to sorting my scratch yet, money is absolutely screwed this month, cant be affording no car toys (n)

But, the scratch is a clear coat scratch (yup, i've been googling scratches lol) hope that the t-cut / scratch x can fix them.... i dont really wanna sandpaper the car like the dude did on youtube!

have a look and read of that

strictly your not getting rid of the scratch more covering it up with srp but still if its gone its gone

my scratch is abit wider than those swirls etc, i should take a pic of it really.. maybe if the rubbing doesnt work, id say its certainly not "in" the paint though.

Though, Resin seems to fair pretty damned well on those tests.. shall go play now me thinks! will report back :)

Scratch: (Sorry, crap camera on phone.)

I gave it a quick going over, but rain started... its faded alittle bit i think, ill do an After picture when it stops raining & i give it another go.

Wet sanding, scary ****! lol

Been polishing away on & off, working on 1 part of the scratch.. seems to be getting abit darker compared to the rest of it.

I think ill just keep rubbing at it when i get bored and hopefully it'll disappear.

P,s i emailed the company about those bumper protectors but the gut replied saying they don't do a punto evo but will email me when they do.

Also interested in finding out if the "silver" is a metalic silvery finish like on the Eleganza Evo's bumper inserts or actually silver.

polish it across the scratch rather than along it ;)

Will do :) still not gone yet, just randomly rubbing it with abit of resin polish atm, on Friday i have a free day so i'll spend alittle while playing with it properly.

I'm sure its looking darker now, the scratch is actually in 2 parts, the 2nd part (not photo'd or polished) looks abit more obvious than the part ive been working on :)

*Sulks*

Well, i cleaned the car over a min ago (just a rinse/shampoo/rinse/dry)

Looking at the nice clean shiney bonet, loads of white specs all over it... on further inspection it looks like stone ships all over the front of the car.

It hailed the otherday on the motorway, so i assume it was that (n)

Poor cars starting to look battered despite all the care ive given it!

Had another rub at the scratch, dunno if its doing any good or not... friday ill give it a proper going at, then might decide if i should use a drop of tcut or not.
