General Fiorino to Panda?

We've been given a fiorino van, which has seen better days except the engine is in good nick! we have a fiat panda, but the panda's engine expired at christmas on the M4 so the question is do any of you know if the 1997 .1.7D fiorino engine is compatable with a 1995 Fiat Panda? Please let us know!!

I'd say no chance unfortunately. The Fiorino and Uno on which its based are considerably wider than the Panda. I don't think you'd physically fir the lump in, nevermind mount it etc....

Would have been interesting though, a diesel panda? talk about economy motoring! :devil:
