What oil does everyone use in their vans?

I always used 20/50 but i'm finding it harder to get hold of and now its seemingly only recommended for old petrol engines.

Motosave reckoned 15/40 which is what i bought, but i can't help feeling unsure HELP!!!

if you change it often you can still get 20/50 at tesco and many supermarkets, it still meets basic requirements etc

Castrol Magnatec Diesel, 10W40.
Been using it for more than 7 years now, car has 220000km on the clock...
Change it every 7500km's together with a Fram filter.
