Got a fiorino 1.7td recently. The brakes are hard as hell but the car doesn't stop. I would be in trouble in an emergency stops thats for sure. Any ideas what it could be. At a guess i think it is either seized calipers or servo unit.
Also are these engine usually noisy? The speedo clock shows 125.000m but the engine it is very noisey.

Hi Mate, first, yes engines are a bit noisy mine has only 30,000 on and is noisy when ticking over but fine when driving. Brakes, the problem will be front calliper sliders they are renowned for becoming siezed or very stiff, this causes only the inner pads to contact the disc. Check to see if inner pads are more worn down than outer.

Thanks for the reply. It turned out to be the brake vacuum pump. it only wears a few mm of the edge of the vacuum pump shaft but its enough to stop it from working. Right pain to find a decent second hand one as it seems to be a common fault and they ( brake vacuum pumps) all wear in the same place making then useless.
