General Fiorin head gasket repair costs

Fan belt went on van, at some point pulled into service station she cut our, clouds of steam. AA man came - no fan belt. Replaced tried starting with booster no go. He reckoned either gasket or split in enging (unlikely and very unlucky) towed to ferry, started on booster drove on.
Any idea of approx costs of replacing a head gasket looks as though £250.00 is the average in UK/
I'm in rip off Dublin anyone any ideas of Dublin price.

Or how long should it take to replace?

Any (local) workshop can do this job, so shop around, I'd say.
One more thing: have the cylinder head, when it's removed, very carefully inspected for cracks...!!
And do use new head bolts, don't use the old ones, they are stretched for sure.
