Hi guys - after months of moaning to the mrs that my speakers are rubbish (original oems) on my pioneer head unit i finally managed to blow one tonight.
The mrs kept telling me no for a new set, i should have bought them when i was installing the bassbox, headunit and tv screens oh well.

Anyways, im looking at putting some 7in speakers in the car as oem replacements. i know that they need pods to insert the speakers in the doors, does anyone know the best company to order them from, and pref a company that sell them as a set of 4.
i dont mind paying a little extra as long as they are good quality and deacent delivery times.
also what speakers would you recomend for good sound quality - i want clear bass etc but overall the sound quality has to be priorty 1.

i currently have a pioneer avh3200 headunit
thanks
roy

thats my head unit, i dont really fancy installing another amp as i have a bass box with built in amp and that was a right pig getting the feeds to it (luckly i found a 12 permant on in the boot of my multiwagon that fitted the bill)

saying that if i could find a small amp that would fit behind the top glove compartment that has 4 channel it would be cool, my stereo has multi zone and i could use that feature more effectively than i do now (it dosent support mutizone on din but does on rca, i currently have my rears muted when the kids watch a movie and have pc speakers running in the back from the phono output on the headunit - not ideal but works).

money isnt a real big issue, just finding a good place to buy the pods (all 4) would be brill (any recomendations?),
im thinking of vibes or something of that quality to instal any better makes that are 165mm?.
the only issue for me is keeping the car looking standard, i dont like to cut door cards etc as they never look right after ive butchered them.

do you recomend any sound deading on the back of the speakers as well? im thinking that if the new ones are say 50watts each it may cause the doors to rattle as i know they will be a whole lot more bassy than the oems.

i forgot how horrible it is not having a stereo in the car, all i can now hear is the poxy rear bush knocking (another days job when i can be asked).
thanks again
roy

There are a number of small amps. None will particularly like to be stuffed into a small area with no cooling. Digital would be best as they produce less heat and i believe the nano amps are mostly digital.

Sound deadening i can get for you. I get unbranded 4 mm stuff at a good price (£27 p/m2 iirc) It is dificult to work with compared to others but works very well when you get the knack.

Or this is very popular off the shelf
