.... but still not fixed it.
Problem is, I had a new mid section fitted a while back, and all was well except that whilst fitting it they managed to snap one of the studs fixed to the front section. So I thought they had drilled or hammered out the stud and dropped a bolt through the hole instead.
But no! What they actually did was to cut from the outside of the front section flange to the snapped stud, allowing them to hammer out the offending stud more easily. This is all well and good but now when the exhaust is hot it reverberates and sounds horrible. I can only guess that it is because the bolt is not as snugly fitting as it should be due to the cut they made in the flange. When things get hot they expand so it appears the "bolt hole" is getting that bit larger causing vibrations.
I have had the mid section replaced 3 times under warranty but the problem always comes back after a couple of months. So it looks like I've got some welding to do now
