Is it just me, or is Fifa '07 the biggest pile of ****e known to man  Ive had most versions, all been fun and easy to play. Now they release a new 'innovative' engine, and its crap, utter crap. The gameplay is random at best, throwing red cards my way all the time yet the others do the same and nothing at all! Tackling is near on impossible without fouling  , scoring and passing way too sensitve. If i wanted an ultra-realistic football game where i get pissed off every time i turn it on, i would have bought pro evo soccer, but i wanted a fun game which was easy to play just like all the other versions. Why change what worked :| Waste of my sodding money (n)

[/Rant]

As far as Fifa goes, they have been crap for ages but the latest version was supposed to be better, frankly I thought it was utter sh*te. Graphically appalling even on 360 with a good tv. The crowd effects were just pathetic and the gameplay was as boring as it ever was.

mate.. fifa is done, how can u get pissed off with pro evo, granted its about 10000% more fun when your playing it with someone else... but even so, i played fifa for years, up untill i got a playstation and pro evo and havent looked back since.

i have actually played fifa a couple of times in the past couple of years, and found that its gotten progressivly worse over time. (n)

Pro Evo 6 the way forward.

Definitely, but PES6 had shockingly bad graphics on the 360 version, i know its a purist game where gameplay is more important to graphical excellence but it looked worse then the 360 version of FIFA 07 and that took some beating, lol.

I am glad it's not just me that though Fifa 07 looked bad. I mentioned that on the 360 forums and the fanboys got really offended :D I bought PES6 instead, yes it's slightly worse graphically but I find the bad graphics actually help with this game, at least you can blur your eyes and think it's real, whereas Fifas graphics are so weirdly crisp and over the top you can see it's just a game. They have tried to take it too far and it looks bad IMO.

Fifa 98 Nintendo 64 :D then after that its been pants for everyother one. Fifa 95 on the mega drive was good to.. but its just gotten worse over the years.

I saw Fifa beeing played in PC world the other day, It looked good to me but I was standing far back and watching someone else play on a large wide screen. Does it really look that bad?

Can't beat the pro evo games, I've bought all of them since they released them on the ps lol, although the graphics aren't the best the gameplay more than makes up for it!

I disagree the refs aint consistent, but hey tell me 1 that is? if u want to tackle without fouls try using the intercept and not the slide tackle. i dont find this problem.

i hate footie game where u can win 10-0 making it harder to score is a good thing imo.

while u want an easy game, millions of others want a challenge.

I find people either love Fifa or PES never both, ill be honest the only reason i used to hate PES was the fact that you have the likes of Terry Herny playing for London town?? i know its not like that now but in a silly way people are loyal to the games they buy, me personally i like Fifa better.
The only bad thing i dont like about Fifa07 is that theirs only 115 teams on the 360 as where the ps2 has over 300 teams.

Fifa is also a stupid game in the sense it has the music tracks on it....that probably 90% of the population will never listen to and they make this a big selling point over pes.

If they concentrated more on gameplay than what music to have on for 30 seconds whilst it loads then maybe they would get more sales than PES

Thing is, they do sell more than Pro Evo and have done for years. Fifa has a loyal following, primarily the majority of football fans with a games console and other people who desire slick presentation and up-to-date teams. It's not just down to EA supporting as many formats as possible, either, as PS2 Fifa outsells PES6 year on year.

I'm more of a Pro Evo boy myself but still play Fifa to see how it compares, and it always feels that step behind Konami's efforts. Pro Evo is, in my opinion, the gamer's football game, Fifa is the footballer's football game. The 360 PES6 is quite a letdown, not only graphically but because it's so cut-down compared to the PS2 instalment. Add to that the PS2 controller being the perfect tool for PES (for me, at least) and which game to get is almost a no-brainer for me.

The best thing about PES is the immense satisfaction to be had from scoring a goal. Goals in Fifa feel much less momentous, mainly because there hasn't been a massive battle midfield for 5 minutes beforehand.

Pro Evo 4 was the best one...loved that game...

In regards to Fifa...THE best one has to be fifa 96 on the snes, never got better than that in my opinion...it was so much fun and hasn't been topped since :D
Nah man, I played 96 on the MegaDrive it didn't top 95 on the MegaDrive.

But it was all about RTWC 98 on the N64, Remember the Dive button? :D was Loved that button, could dive for no reason and get a free kick or penalty, used to proper p!ss off me lil bro, so much that he stopped playing and has never played a football game since :D
