what does anyone think of the new x-box punto?.
im about to trade in my beloved seicento sporting (now its 3yrs old)
for this 1.2 16v x-box version.
im worried it wont be as good as what i have now. but with the seicento discontinued this was the closest thing i could find.
has anybody got one - any advice/info would be appreciated ?

well ive tried a search but no luck - just a few posts about the x-box games console. but im new here today so i may be doing it wrong.
i hope someone will reply to me personally - but if not then i guess im in the wrong place.

Hi and welcome to the forum, I can't find anything on these on this site, unlikely since they're still very new. There are however loads of links on google, don't known if you have seen them already but:
Carpages
Fiat

The car itself is the same you just get some fancy extras for less money than buying the standard one. So if you're concerned about the car itself then check out some posts about the 1.2 Active Sporting, which this is based on and should give you an idea of it's niggles, reliability etc. Personally I think it's a step up from the Sei but I'm sure some would disagree! :)

I think Max Power took the standard X-box stilo from Fiat and MAXED it

Bit OTT IMO but if that's what you like..... (y)

well ive checked some of the links and there are lots of people who sound very bitter and critical. however this was mainly an uninformed opinion as they didnt know the spec or prices, or any details at all really.

it actually looks like a good deal -a 1.2 active sport 16vfor less than list price, the black metallic paint thrown in for free is worth it for me alone.
the dealer have said they can steam off the x-box logos, but it is actually quite discreet when you see it.

thanks to everyone who replied to help me. :)

i cant be bothered reading the links

but will the stilo look like the one max power got there hands on, cause thats branded as an x-box

Not seen what MaxPower did to the one that had but the Stilo X-Box just lookes from the outside like an Abarth ( spoiler, 17" and side skirts ) with an X-Box sickey thing on the rear pillar.

My dealer had both Stilo and Punto last week, specs are great for the money ( did notice an offer.. but didnt notice if it was excluding the X-box versions of zero vat on all Fiats ... unless its a dealer thing ) BUT I would worry about resale of that version... not going to appeal to many buyers... where as a Shumacher version would appeal??

Edit... Bowie have you see one in the flesh so to speak, I would also test drive one if you can as its the only way to judge if your going to like it.

It has X-box embroided onto the seats doesn't it?

I don't think anybody is bitter, badly informed yes, however, if that is the general opinion of fiat owners then it's hardly good is it. Branding like that is bad, there's not even an xbox inside. They should have called it "Dynamic +" and done the same deal, saved the bother with MS and tacky detailing like stickers and embroidery. It's worse than the Clio MTV (which incidently at least had a CD player to go with it's badging, the X-box is missing from this).

no ,negotiator you are wrong, there is a free x-box console and game with this car.

yes freelancer - i have test driven it, last saturday.
its a nice feel and i liked it ,but its still a wrench as i am in love with my seicento.
if only i could get a new seicento i wouldnt even have to question my decision.

I am fully aware of that but that's the only thing that makes it anything to do with xbox and it's not even in the car.

oh sorry - i see what you mean ....you wanted it built in.

thanks mate, very positive ........i like your style.
and you are right - i'll only move from group 3 to group 6 !
