Good day,

I just had my cylinder head refaced because it overheated and maybe it might have been unleveled, is it Ok that I had it refaced? also now it doesn't crank when I turn the keys on the ignition, I had the starter rebuilt and still no crank, but when I directly connected the wire from the starter and tap it to the positive of the battery its cranking and starting, dunno what is wrong with it, please help...

No problem about getting the head resurfaced. That is good practice and in my opinion should be done when the head is off.

Are you sure you have reconnected all the wires to your starter motor. It should have two wires, the big lead from the positive on the battery and a small wire that goes to the solenoid, which is activated when you turn the key.

If it was fine before the overheat and all you have done is resurface the head and get the starter done then check that you have not missed reconnecting a wire.
