Technical Fiat Uno start problem

Usually all was ok, then suddenly problems arise that engine died sometimes after running some miles, without any reason, usually always start when engine was cold.
The last days it was running this happend, it started well and driving about 5 kilometers then engine died, it refused to start, 1 hour later tried again and it started and drove 4 kilometers and then engine died again.
After this it want start again.
I can hear that the fuel pump is running when turn on ignition key.
Have changed spark plus, spark cables, rotor.
I have made a new ground cable to alu-body of Digiplex.

There is no ignition when I use test cable with lamp that light up if there is ignition.

Maybee it help fault finding, engine running when it was cold and probelms occur when it was hot, until it refued to start again.


Is it Digiplex 2 Ignition Module that can be fault ?

all your problems will be gone if you change the module on your distributor.


but not any module . I changed mine with 1993 Mitsubishi lancer distributor module & it's running better than the original one.


most of fiat module is either don't resist extensive heat or just made in China.

The Distributor is mechanical breaker type on UNO 70 S I.E
