Hi
First post so bear with me please. I have a K regd (April 93) Fiat Uno 1 Litre Fire engine i have recently changed the ECU with one from a 1.1 litre Engine which i believe was also a Fire Engine. The car stated straight away and runs, what looks and sounds to be fine. Can anyone tell me if there will be any probs with using this ECU permently.

Many thanks

I can't see any problems with using the 1108cc ECU instead of the 999cc ECU. The carburetor versions of these two models used virtually exactly the same Weber 32TLF carb with very minor jetting differences. All I can see happening is that in the SPI models you may get a slightly longer injector opening duration thus slightly more fueling.

Check the plugs electrodes, and as long as they are the correct colour (a sort of light tan/ biscuit colour) then I really wouldn't worry (y)
