General Fiat Ulysse Oil change question

We have a Fiat Ulysse 2.0 P reg (petrol). Have owned it since last Oct and now my other half is trying to do an oil change. Trouble is, there are two bolts on the sump, one at the front and one underneath. He could only get the front one undone and the oil drained out so we presume it was the right one....I know alot of models differ in where the bolts are but does it sound like he took out the right bolt? Any help would be appreciated.

yes it sounds as though he did it right i'll be in the isle of wight in late july for a week
