Hi, yes I did solve it. I had to purchase a brand new ECU. The biggest mistake I made was trying a second hand ECU, which initially worked (for about 5 starts), and then stopped working. We thought my car had blown it, and everyone was reluctant to put in a new one and blow that one too! Turns out, you can only use a NEW one, as the data on the old one had chassis/engine numbers etc, (cabin protection system), and it had conflicts with my details. Sort of using a new flash drive on a pc, you know you're not going to have any virus's or incompatibility. It is going like a boeing now, have not got rid of it. Other fault, I have a broken bolt on the throttle body, so tightened the cable ties holding it, and it's performing well. Some auto electricians can bypass some of the faulty dry joint points of the ECU, but in the end, I had done that, the car did drive for 18 months after that modification, but in the end, I had to buy the ECU. I spent R2700 on the by pass modification, and R6500 on the new ECU, so probably a better spend on buying the ECU at the outset. Love the car!
