Hi guys iam new to the forum.just bought myself a2004 fiat stilo 1.9 jtd estate.drove all the way from london to dorset with no problems whatsoever.next day i cleaned the car up and under bonnet.then tried to start car and it started then died,done this a few times.eventually i got it to run then went down the road for 200 metres then cut out,p0606 fault code showing,cleared the fault then same happened 200 meters up the road died again,same fauly came up.what could be be the problem,car ran perfect when i picked it up then the next day cleaned car up now i have this problem.please can anyone help,many thanks nosher.

Possible water ingres, did you use a pressure washer in the engine bay?
Give the car a good run(if it will run long enough), get it hot, hope it dries out. Clear the fault and see how things go.

Hi thanks for your quick response,yes jet washer used..just taken ecu from car and split it open,yes there was wayer in there so i have blown it out with airline and put it on my boiler overnight .i shall put it back together and see how it goes.will keep you informed what happens.what a great forum must say.
Also worth checking that you didn't get water in the fusebox. Hopefully you still have the cover in place!

I took the ecu out of the car and split it,found small deposits of water inside,i gently blew it out with air line and left on boiler over night and replaced it this morning.Cleared the codes and the car is back to normal now.I do not have the lid to fuse box as it wasnt on car when i bought it,any help where i can purchase one,also need end nearside front cap for my roof rails,any ideas where can get one from?Many thanks once again.
