hi, i have just bought a 1.2 punto active 5dr, its only done 5k miles in its life and as a result hasnt been serviced, the person i bought it off said it doesn't need servicing until it reaches 10k miles, is this right? because i always thought it was once a year or 10k miles whicheer came first. thanks:slayer:

If it's over a year old and never been serviced, the service is long overdue. They're avoiding the cost of the service, and passing it on to you.

I thought that was the whole point of buying a new car is the dealership services it for 3years for free.

If they dont then why the funk do people buy new cars, thats crazy:eek:

but yeah you still pay for servicing yourslef some dealers do special offers like pay one smaller fee when you buty car and then get servicing free for 3 years some makers like daewoo include in price to make atractive. otherwise have to pay each time :( and price varies according to the year at the main dealer as diff parts are replaced at different inetrvals
