Hello everyone!

Right, i have a few questions, and i would love some answers :)

anyway...

Engine and gearbox- I am gonna be doing a 1.4 engine conversion in my 2003 sei sporting, ive seen people have fit a 1.4 8v and a 1.4 16v, im wondering which one would be the best, as in how much more power the 16v would produce over the 8v, how easy the conversion would be between both of them, and the main question is, will the seicento sporting gearbox just bolt straight on to one or both engines, but i am preferably wanting to fit the 16v, but i also want to go the direction of what is the most practical.

ECU- i understand i will more than likely need a after market ecu, but would the engine run off standard, if so, would it run off the seicento ecu or the ecu the engine came from. if i have to go after market, what ecu does everybody recommend.

Fueling- I will need a uprated fuel pump, but i dont know what do get, what is the best you guys recommend.

Breaks- I have heard that Punto GT breaks will do the job. correct me if i am wrong.

Radiator- Would i need an uprated radiator? if so which one?

Suspension- Will i need uprated suspension as i am currently running brand new suspension all around my car as my old set decided to give in not so long back.

Throttle body- would there be any room for tuning with the 1.4 engines TB, or i have heard that a TB off a 1.6 bravo works better, especially with tuning.

I think thats it for the parts, if ive missed any out please tell me.

Tuning- When i do the conversion, i will be looking at around the 120-140bhp mark, what ever is the most achievable, maybe even more if i can do it without nacking the engine.

I will be documenting the conversion and posting it on here, i am looking to do it in about july/august time.

Any help will be appreciated as i need all i can get ahaha :D 12065982_10201270503960399_3252035946828780337_n.jpg

I am not an expert on the engine swaps, but I am pretty confident that 1.4 8v are easier to fit as less wiring with the loom, with the gearbox I hear that most people put 6 speeds in I think out of a fiat stilo. There are some much more experienced people on here but I hope this helped.

There were some folks playing with 1.4 8V back in PL, one was even turboed (this one in an Uno), but I don't think it is a recommendable setup, little bhp for displacement and things to worry about like the variable camshaft timing.

Yep I have done some research and I was wrong 8v is not the way to go seems to be quite a few people doing t-jet builds

theres me who built and is rebuilding a tjet made 221hp and 286nm @14 psi going for 250hp and 300nm now with the 4x4

there is also craigb266 with a tjet bottom end on his 16vt being rebuilt and spookycinq with a tjet manifold on a 16v engine

as for 120-140hp NA todger182 was going for the and hes got a forged bottom end lightweight flywheel ported head cams and throttle bodies and he was aiming for that figure

you can shoehorn a tjet in, heres a few of mine under a standard bumper with a Garret T25 and 2.25" exhaust, my manifold downpipe and exhaust also happen to be for sale :p
