Hi there new to posting on forums I get so much info from you guys on here tho.. I changed the rocker cover gasket this morning and when I went to start the van after it wouldnt start and it sounded like the cam shaft was hitting a bolt can this be cause by doing them to tight, I'm worried about trying to start it again as it sounded loud an metal on metal, any information would be greatly appreciated thanks

You are correct not to try start engine again.
Remove rocker cover and check very carefully that you didn't leave anything in tje engine that should not be there(tools) or for anything that may have accidently dropped in (loose nut/bolt etc)

I dont think I did tbh but going to take it all off tomorrow and have a good look, ive been reading about and they say the bolts (3x 10mm) underneath the plastic rocker cover should be done up just over finger tight so I think I've done them way too tight, appreciate the reply thank you
