General fiat recall

has any one else had a recall regarding the seicento fuel tanks?

i took my sei in 2 weeks ago to be told that it did need a new tank and they would ring me the folowing monday. a week later i had to ring them myself and was told "they had tried to contact me". yea right i have two phone lines and an answer machine! Beware! when they had it in last wednesday to put in the new tank for FREE, i had a phone call to say i needed a new exhaust £100. once again (all together) YEA RIGHT i told him i might be a girl but i wasn't born yesterday! and told him that they were 2 put my old one straight back on. needless to say he wasn't too happy at the loss of further work, but i would never take my car to a fiat garage to have any work and i don't intend to start now.

That's quite scary. Just shows how some garages try to take advantage
because they think you haven't got a clue.

Glad you got things sorted in the end though.

i had a recall letter bout a month ago, i havent had chance to get in touch yet

the last time i went to my dealer i got asked to leave, so im not sure if i will be using them again

what garage was it...

cos' they should have looked at the exhaust when it was in the 1st time, but then coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Have had this problem before at work and most of the time a deal is made like customer pays for part with labour free.
