Fiat Punto Y reg head gasket?

Hi. where is the head gasket for this car and is it easy to repair? Also I think the thermostat caused this problem. Overheating all the time.. Car is none runner now as I am attempting it myself..

Yes and No

Yes - its easy to remove Head belts and all the jazz

But skimming you need a machine shop to aid you there

Get a manual for God's sake. If you don't know where the head gasket is, you'll certainly need it (and a torque wrench and decent toolkit).

I agree with fingers99 a Haynes manual is what you really need as it'll take to long to explain where and how to do it. I've done a couple myself and as head gaskets go its a pretty straight forward and easy enough job - if you know a thing or two about mechanics but seen as though you dont know where the head gasket is then I would advise you let a professional do it as you can easily get yourself in a pickle and end up causing all sorts of problems
