Fiat Punto MK2 Lost Keys

Hi,

I have lost all my keys to my 2002 MK2 Fiat Punto. The Fiat dealership have quoted me around £200 for a new key but this is quite expensive for me.

Is there possibly a way to get myself a new key on the cheap?

I'd appreciate ideas along with the cost of them.

The keys have a chip in them that talks to the car via a code ring around the ignition barrel so i would try an auto electrician/lock smith. might be a bit cheeper than fiat

Also can u get into your car or is it locked? once u get a key sorted and all working i would get your self a mechanical key cut so u can open the doors and boot (it wont start the car) but its always handy to have in a safe place incase u loose your keys agen
