Tuning Fiat Punto Exhaust Idea, Help & Advice Please

hey guys just had my exhaust finished off had my cat back done by longlife awsum exhaust realy friendly people there the prices are amazing really nice bass sound if anyone looking for an exhaust go to them there website is www.longlife.co.uk thanx you guys for helping me out .will try try and take a video to show you

like powerflow, longlife are franchised dealers so getting a good one is luck of the draw really. best thing to do is ask to see some of the places previous work.

Bought a sportex one (will post a pictre in a second). Sounds good, but found out my centre silcencer is blowing (which is causing a blowing sound, but that problem is in another post)

My sportex exhaust is hanging too low imo. Can i raise it, or possibly fit something to my rear bumper to make it look lower.

I am looking at getting a 3" exit sportex back box, what do people think of the sportex? What sort of sound do you get from just the back box?

I have on fitted, but can't comment on sound at the moment. I have a centre silencer which is blowing, which does make a cool hissing noise though!!

my sportex is pretty quiet, plus i got the centre silencer removed,

especially if you're comparing the sound to a scooby, or that bloke who drives a ****ty escort down my road all the time, driving to his 'how to look a complete gimp' class

My Sportex is cool (£14 off ebay, it was mint, very slighty used, still shiny). The crappy standard centre box is blowing, had a very small slight crack on the corner. A trip down to halfords for some Gun Gum and job done (for a while anyway!!).

Think my sportex sits too low though!!

go somewhere to get it refitted, mine was sitting low and banging on the axle, got to the point where it was sitting on the axle, was doing my head in, i asked when it was being serviced if they could sort it out and they tightened it up and used some sealant, if i were you i'd get an 8v centre pipe, give the exhaust a bit more grunt..
just realised i live up the road from you, how is sunny Ware today?

I've got a Peco catback, its kinda noisy and was sitting too low when I first fitted it. Got it cos I needed a new back box and it was going cheap £29 off ebay but now because if the noise Im wondering whether to go back to the old pipe and chop the backbox off and get a new backbox, I want it to sound sporty but not chavvy, and I dont want a huge thing hanging out the back, subtle look is so much better.

Is it easy to raise up then?? Is it something i could do myself? I can get the car on a ramp (two-three foot off the ground!!!)

Also my Gun Gum failed today (only put it on yesterday!! lol) Got this annoying hissing noise again!!!Think the exhaust hits the floor where the gun gum is.

Only moved to Ware a month or so ago, quite like it! I drive through tyour neck of the woods pretty much every day!! Might see ya!!

you could probably diy if you got it on stands and moved it as far back as you could and seal it in place, may be put some heat resistant tape around the axle and exhaust pipe to make sure it doesn't bang and stays in place, that's what i'm gnna do to stop any further hassle

Do you recomend any heat resistant tape inparticular? (will be doing this this weekend).

And what do you mean by "moved it as far back as you could and seal it in place", sorry i'm stupid. . .
