Fiat Punto 60 SX Speaker Upgrade

Hi,

I have a 1998 Fiat Punto 60 SX.
I would like to upgrade the speaker system because at the moment it is rubbish with tiny speakers.

My problem is I do not know how to intergrate the new system into my cars interior.
I have a new headunit installed which is a JVC KD-R601.

The speaker system I am looking at purchasing is:

FUSION

Encounter 6x9” 3-Way Speakers​

Encounter 5.25” Component Speakers​

Encounter 4 Channel Amplifier​

These speakers obv wouldn't go into the standard speaker holes. So where do i put them?

I had thought the rear's could go on the parcel shelf or side but what for front? Please help and advise to tell me somewhere where it's possible to install them? Thanks!

not sure about the mk1 speaker layout but if your gonna put 6"x9"'s in , cut 2 holes on the parcel shelf and put them in there .

replace the door speakers with the same size speaker and just buy quality ones .


thats all i done on my mk2 and it sounds great .

IIRC you can buy the door card from a higher model like the GT that has speaker pods on it. If you are going to use a sub, do not bother with 6 x 9's in the back shelf as sharing the air space will bugger them!

hi there i have a fiat stilo and recently i have experienced some issues with it and i was wondering if anyone out there can help me or maybe give me some idears or tips on how to resolve these issues. firstly i have a problem with my reverse sensor everytime i put it into reverse the car keeps on making a constant noise plus a note would come up saying sensor failer but after a little while it would go away anyone know how to deal with this issue ? ..... another problem i am having is with the passager side seat it randomly just stopped working it wont move forward or back or rickline but the driver seat works fine when i push the buttons on the driver seat i can move it as i please but with the passanger side it doesnt seem to want to work...... any idears ???

Hmm they seem to be fairly rare only being able to find the drivers door. Anybody have any other ideas for installing 5.25" component speakers into fiat punto mk1 door cards without speakers pods?

Lots of GT interior is sold on puntosports.co.uk forums. Alot nicer than sx /s interior
