FIAT bought New Holland from Ford quite a few years ago now and also had a collaboration with Hitachi to build earthmovers. We all know about the cars and most are probably aware of IVECO.
However, the FIAT group are also involved in trains and aircraft as well as marine diesels which range from 13 litre 6cylinder models all the way down to the 1.3 MJ engine from the Panda. I think the group also has an interest in the Irisbus PSV makers.

it says the copany is splitting into 'car' and 'non car' businesses in jnauary, i take it this is for tax reasons? is there any other reason they would do this?
