we actually have a police smart car patrolling in perth at the minute - i'll need to see if i can catch it when i have my digicam on me.

Si, I know that Smarts are unstable cars... a SEI sporting shakes off it for me [8D]...

Donz, I'm curious to see the Smart cop version in Perth...

What does the cops use in UK?

BMW, Ford, Rover ???

Well we have a mixture really, around here it seems to be Ford fiestas and Vauxhall Astras for pootling around town and Volvo T5's for motorway patrols.

Oh and if your around Gloucester and get pulled by a VW Sharan don't do anyhting stupid as this is a ARV (Armed Response Vehicle)
It has a MP5 (nice) and a 9mm semi-auto pistol for each officer!

lol i'm not gonna be catching any coppers, i'll try and get a photo of it sorted out - god know how tho.

in perth we have astra's for the normal coppers and the traffic cops have a turbo deisel BMW 5 series estate and an similarly enginged unmarked BMW 3 series. not to mention the odd mearked isuzu trooper!

yeah we've got a ford galaxy in our town which stopped someone once and searched the whole car for drugs took ages! there's also a really old police landrover probably similar operation to the gloucester one as it has a big old search light on top like the one used in crocodile dundee when they were shootin kangaroos [:0]
