Hello guys, I am considering a Fiat Ottimo and I have a few questions.
Ottimo is essentially a hatchback dodge dart with a 1.4t T-JET engine that looks awesome.
From what I have found so far, it seems like its 150hp at 5k and 230Nm at 3k 1.4t engine is from pre-2010 Bravos.
So here is my first and biggest question, will ECU tunes for Bravo work on the Ottimo?
I assume Ottimo would use different sensors in places that are outside the engine, like the o2 sensor and such.
What sensors does the aftermarket ECUs require to run properly? I hope if it only needs the ones inside the engine, then it's a go.

And just making sure what I read from numerous from the internet is correct, this engine has the a IHI RFH3 VL36 turbo, same as the one found in 155hp AGP and the 160hp Abarth 500 SS?

Thanks in advance

See this is the tricky part... I have a 2011 Bravo 1.4 Tjet which is amongst the few sold. In Europe as far as I gather after 2010 they only sold 1.4 Multiairs with maybe a few countries having the exception. The southern hemisphere never made the change so we all still have 2010-2014 1.4 Tjets and this caused issues for when I wanted to remap. 2007-2009 Tjets have a different ECU to the 2010-2014 Tjets. Most tuning companies will be able to benchflash the 2007-2009 Tjets and 2010-2014 Multiairs but might struggle with a 2010-2014 Tjets. But really just search on the internet for companies that claim they should be able to do it (y)
Aftermarket ECUs will cause you to lose lots of functionality, unless you're refering to plug and play chips. But the O2 sensors shouldn't play a role at all when it comes to remapping

Yes the Tjet 150 does come with the VL36 and the Tjet 155 AGP did come with it as well (very rare car though). America must have different nomenclatures as I don't think in Europe (and the world) the SS had that little power. I believe it had +-170hp with a VL38 turbocharger, which then got later replaced when they started using Multiair engines

I'm sure the 155 AGP, used the same as my mito 155 as it was the same engine and was a vl38. Our bravo 150 Tjet definitely has vl36. The SS model used a garette turbo instead of an IHI.

I havent looked into remapping our 2010 bravo, but that's interesting to know.

Thanks for the info, different ECUs would sure be a big problem.
The reason I'm looking plug and play chip is that China is not the friendliest country for car mods.
The dmv require yearly inspections and the car has to be mostly stock be that time. Intakes and exhaust would be alright as long as they aren't obnoxiously loud, but running On different fuel map is definitely not ok.
As the result there aren't any tuner business in China, so I'm hoping to be able to buy a chip from Europe and plug it in. When it comes to inspection time, I can reverse to stock settings, like what APR is doing with Volkswagens.

Oh sorry should've realised when you spoke about the Ottimo that you were from China

But I understand why you want a plug and play chip as many guys do that here to not void their warranty or service plan.
Racechip is probablt one of your best options when it comes to chips and I've seen them make good power on Mito QVs
