Fiat Newcastle

I thought I would just point out that none of my posts in this thread refer to Fiat Newcastle. But rather to general garage issues that arose from the thread. All of my experience is south of Watford :)

Would have to agree the Gainmanor are much better than Benfield in my experience. :)

If its benfield you mean I have found they are crap. Gainmanor at the silverlink all the way hommie.
I agree Fiat Benfield ripped me out of half my engine.

Took it into there to cost up the damage from a Marea with a snapped Timing belt and they charged me £200 plus the vat and then kept the fookin engine parts that cost the most.
so when i did get a new lump from the scrappy and the fuel line had been cut. which is hard wired into the Fuel injector I had to go to the other fiat garage and by all the bits they had left out of the boot,

I was well peved when i went back to benfield and they said sorry but the bits we took off went in the bin. even though i made sure when i went in there they knew I wanted the engine parts put in the boot if they couldnt fix it.
I was missing air intake and fuel injector rail ht coil they had even nicked the water jets off the bonnet and an indicator. why thay needed to take them off is a mistory to me. oh and it had a wapping dent in the front wing.

I always Use Gainmore now there so freindly and if you go there and you have a 10 year old car with a problem they tell you if you can do it yourself with out charging you £200.

For the best value and PROPER expert advice try alfatech on foxhunters trading estatate in whitley bay. They were recomended to me by someone on this forum and they beat any so called "Technician" from a main dealers anyday!(y)

I use benfield (railway street) all the time for parts, guys are spot on (but I always know exactly what I need).

i'm going for the first time today, just to pick up some alfa touch up paint, but its the only alfa garage in north east england so i really hope the guys are ok and i dont get that feeling of dread as soon as i enter the forecourt.

I've heard today that Benfield Fiat & Alfa has been bought by a developer and will probably be flattened and turned into appartments.

(This is word of mouth from people who work in the industrial units nearby.)
