hi , ive got 2001 fiat multipla 100 16v elx and ive just got hold of code reader as ive got warning light and buzzer sounding , is the connection for this actually on the ecu at the back or somewhere else on the car ? are you ok to mess around with the ecu connector with the battery still connected ? any help appreciated , regards gary
 
Fiat multipla ecu connector ?

The ECU/Diagnostic connector is behind the little access panel to the right of the Bonnet release lever.
Not tried my Code Reader yet, but I think the instructions say to connect it before switching on the Ignition.

Have you actually found it there though?
Knowing how car makers like to torture us DIYers, I wouldn't be surprised if they moved it around between years/models . . . :rolleyes:
