Fiat idea help

Hi..

Have bought a used 2004 Fiat Idea Emotion, which has the steering wheel controls. As the original CD headunit was rubbish, the previous owner changed it, installing one of these:

Works great, sounds good.. all good. BUT (u knew it was comming, didnt you ) I would realy like to have the steering wheel controls working.

Pioneer sell something for the Musa (Fiat Idea in drag ) -

which im stil waiting for the price for, but found out to be cca. 140€

Then i found this:

If I combine it with the correct adaptor (for Pioneer..) will it work?? Since the Idea is based on the Grande Punto.. I think it should..
Has anyone tried it..done it...?Any Ideas??

Just to correct you, the Idea is based on the Mk2 Punto.
