Finally found the software, installed it on a virtual WIN98 machine.

http://www.ulozto.cz/xTN7SU8/examiner-fiat-vero-rar

It runs ok but has a few bugs, the text disappears and I don't know what to click on when I want to choose the car type.
I assume if I install it directly on a pure WIN98/laptop it would be ok.

Looks like it's already cracked, no need to insert codes or dealership info.

After try and clicking on something, text dissapear:

Other than that, it has useful information on every ECU and tips.

I don't have cables yet and don't know if it actually works.
If someone wants to try and play with it, I'm sure there would finally be a way to connect and read errors for our old rare cars..

I'm going to try it also. Do have the KKL - USB cable. Maybe Tomorrow. Wil let u know.

Regards

I've installed the software on a WIN95 today, not WIN98.
Looks like it runs better and without bugs.

So now it's only the cable issue.
I have a VAG and EML cables and also the 3 pin converter:

I wonder now how to install it on a virtual machine that it would reconize it as a USB.

It's called VCI on the Examiner software.
Is that some kind of special COM or output?

Well I found another program which people on the Alfa145 boards use.

It's called Uniscan 1.83 and needs a DOS based machine with a serial port.

Took a screenshot and looks like it has all the FIAT models including the sporting and the GT ones!

I'm going to order one for 50$ in aliexpress. I hope it works.

isn't the whole purpose of a vagcom cable to emulate a serial port via USB..? I could be wrong as not fully up on all different cable types.

I would try Examiner with the 3pin adaptor and a vagcom rather them ELM if it was me - i am assuming you have tried with the adaptor and ELM and it didn't work??

Yeah Examiner won't work without it's hardware.

Uniscan will work on every pre-2000 fiat model but would need very old set up.

Evidence of people who could connect to the 1.6MPI.
Problem is, you'd need an old machine or laptop that has 2X serial ports.
Program works only in DOS and needs a 40-50£ box.

There's a long thread here about the program:

Seems to be to much of troble to get such of old hardware but I hope it's worth it if I could set up something like that.

I have the Uniscan 1.83 software working on my PC but it seems from reading the other threads you need a specific uniscan unit and its cables as seen here;

If you find any information suggestion you don't need the uniscan interface please let me know.
