Fiat Engine codes

Hi, New to this site but will stay a member as I have two old fiat cars. Could someone tell me the difference between a A 188A8000 and and A1889000 engine as I'm looking for a replacement for my 8000 engine? It's a 1.3 multijet engine and my chain has broken. Need the car back on the road ASAP so looking for a replacement engine. I work in the NHS so the urgency of finding one is imperative. Any help/ advice would be very greatly received.

Mk2 punto..??

That probably means that is not a DPF Variant change.

Hi, thanks for your help. Yes it's a Mk2 2003-2012. Just wondering if I can fit a A1889000 (2010) in place of a A1888000 (2008) engine ?

Sorry

The UK dropped the 188 in 2006.. so Im unsure of the specifics

My grandes 2007 /8 all use the same 'preDPF' Motor
