Landrover supply a EKA code for emergency access using the key if your remote fails, it only available through the dealership but free, you have to prove ownership. Are Fiat and others legally allowed to prevent you working on your own vehicle ? using diagnostics on a modern vehicle is part of your tool box.

Yes it's has the SGW been there with the red bypass from Gendan no luck can't even read the ECU with the snap on or autel from mates

My Ducato has the old lights with the day run lamps as part of the side light ( just a double filament tail stop bulb) I swapped them for LED bulbs which were supposed to be canbus compatable but I still get bulb failure messages now and again, but when on day run they look better. don't like the idea of headlights on when engine running, if you pull over for 5 mins you can't switch over to tail lights:rolleyes:
 
Mine is the same but I bought a factory set of lights with the DRL built in they flicker a lot and error codes so must be someone who has done this coding successfully on a SGW equiped vehicle

Its very frustrating. I have all the diagnostics Full colour wiring diagrams, everything I need for the Discovery. Got nothing for this Fiat.
Can I ask if you could help with my other thread regarding my glow plug issue as I had had no Reponses up to now.

Yes I did think he couldn't do it even though he said he could I told them I had a 22 plate but still was told it was possible. I was going to make the journey then fit my LED headlights when I got there. But won't bother now. I know all about the SGW as I have all the software and the cables and I know where the SGW is on the ducato behind the glove box on the passenger side easy ish to get to. I am sure it's possible for one of us to sort it

Let me know how you get on m8 I have booked my fiat ducato 2022 plate in at ian grieves fiat commercial dealers for this Monday

How did you get on the fiat dealer would know youre vehicle never come with the drl headlights from new I have my 2022 plate motorhome booked in for Monday 13th of November the fiat dealer recons he can do the job £120 per hr he sed it will take 2 hrs so hopefully he can sort it for me
 
Not been yet but if they can do that it will be amazing not sure what's involved and how they can charge £120ph
Two hours we can get an engine out of one of these in that time

Let me know how you get on as last resort might bite the bullet but not 250 squids maybe an hours labour

Hi, My Eldiss Motorhome on a Ducato Chassis 2022 140 Multijet Euro 6 Engine displays a flashing glow plug light.
A diagnostic scan (Multiecuscan) shows DTC P0683-13 Preheating control unit (feedback) Open circuit.
All I can find at the moment is 3 heater plugs cold resistance of 1 ohm and 1 heater plug at 0.6 ohms.
All those resistances seem within spec but I don't understand why one should be so different.
The van has only done 3000 miles. no problem starting and plenty of power.
I don't think heater plugs come under the warranty.
Need some advice please.

No problem I will put a post back on here once I visit the fiat dealers on Monday hopefully he can get my headlights fitted and no more flickering
 
Hi at the fiat dealers the now and the technician has just told me he can't stop my drl headlights from flickering he sed its because the vehicle never had the option on the bmc boady control module when new he sed I would need a nothe bcm which has the led drl on them so just to let youse guys know fiat can't do the job so I will still be trying do get some one that can do them or another way round it

Let me know how you get on with it the dealer tried to charge me £65 for half a hr I told them I wasn't giving them anything as they told me on the phone that they could do the job but they couldn't iv all ready lost £165 ,for taking a day off my work to take the motorhome to them I asked them if they would pay me my days wage they sed no and sed its OK not to pay them the £65 for the half hrs work never again dealers no more

Hi are you saying the sgw bypass adapter is in the passengers side behind the glove box is this true do you know this or are you just assuming it is there as I know a guy who' has striped it all out but couldn't find the sgw bypass connectors he added photos on a nother forum
