Technical Fiat ducato 2004 fan issues-radiator

Hi All,
I have a 2004 2.3 jtd fiat ducato panel van. It doesnt have air con.
Recently the fan has started cyling on n off at temp readings between cold and normal running temp( slight below half way on guage).
Expansion bottle was low, so i topped it up.
Yesterday day i thought id try an find the temp sensor that controls the fan and i thought it was the one on the thermostat housing, but when i disconnected it, the fans carried on cycling on n off.
I even pulled relay T08 under bonnet and still the fans run, but maybe that is for the cab fan?
The only thing that stopped the fans was pulling the fuses under the bonnet.

Todaythe fan now runs constantly from switching the engine on.

So, im wondering if anyone has an idea why and where the sensors are for the fans as i guess the one on the thermostat isnt for the fans or temp guage.

Update: two sensors, it had a bad wire to one sensor so the fans run continously to protect the engine. Once i fixed the wire, all was fine

It should be the CTS wiring fault and not the temperature sender.
