Oh right, been offered some 147 recaro's but my budget isn't high and I have been given coupe leather seats.. I can recall seeing them in a punto but I need pictures and I cant seem to find any.. I dont mind putting the whole things on punto bases as the punto seats are pretty much shot

the problem arises if you have a 3 door punto
the seat subframes have a facility to allow full seat to move forward to facilitate rear passengers and go back to the original position once they are in
if you remove this facility then you risk the passengers not getting out in an accident/fire situation and it would also fail the mot
me personally i would fit the simpler alfa seats even if i had to buy them

Coupe is a bigger car with more room, you might find that you can't slide the seats back and forward as the back rest control might foul the b pillar, on the punto these controls are placed deliberately between the seats to avoid this problem, and the rear seat probably won't fit at all without being re-upholstered onto the punto rear bench which again due to size difference could well look like a dogs dinner, if you have the seats give it a go but I don't think it will work well

Err the Coupe is also three door. ;)
Anywho, i put Coupe cloth seats in my 3door, they're lighter and the heating still worked. The punto seats were shot.
It's a lot of hassle and you need to fabricate some new mounts, see thread here:

No I wont do more of these.. :) but they were actually not that difficult to make, just some accurate measurements, cutting & drilling.
.. Which was pretty self-cost. The seats however was around 100euro from a friend as I recall.
The rear seat is still original Punto, no point adopting any Coupe-bench there.

Thank you for showing that it can be done, will get my leather coupe seats in the punto, rears too, even if i have to swap the bases over:)

nice one
just be careful you dont lose a finger
i stripped some standard fiat seats down the other week and boy are they chopping blocks

have you considered swapping the seat squabs over and the backs onto the punto frame?

might be worth an investigation:)

Will look into it, the seats in the punto now aren't the best, the rear seats and passenger would clean up but the drivers seat is shot and the mould inside makes the current interior even more off putting than it already is
