Anyone got any pics of puntos with coupe seats in? how much work is required? cheers
quite a bit
i had to take the roof off
:d
Err the Coupe is also three door.the problem arises if you have a 3 door punto
the seat subframes have a facility to allow full seat to move forward to facilitate rear passengers and go back to the original position once they are in
if you remove this facility then you risk the passengers not getting out in an accident/fire situation and it would also fail the mot
me personally i would fit the simpler alfa seats even if i had to buy them
Err the Coupe is also three door.
Anywho, i put Coupe cloth seats in my 3door, they're lighter and the heating still worked. The punto seats were shot.
It's a lot of hassle and you need to fabricate some new mounts, see thread here:

No I wont do more of these..but they were actually not that difficult to make, just some accurate measurements, cutting & drilling.
.. Which was pretty self-cost. The seats however was around 100euro from a friend as I recall.
The rear seat is still original Punto, no point adopting any Coupe-bench there.
Thank you for showing that it can be done, will get my leather coupe seats in the punto, rears too, even if i have to swap the bases over![]()
nice one
just be careful you dont lose a finger
i stripped some standard fiat seats down the other week and boy are they chopping blocks
have you considered swapping the seat squabs over and the backs onto the punto frame?
might be worth an investigation![]()
