i have a 1996, fiat coupe 2L 16valve non turbo, when reaching 4 thousand rev, the engine seems to cut as if rev limiter is cutting in, ...is this due to TDC, sensor needing replaced ? as last mechanic worked on this car broke it and glued the bracket back together, I'v read that this sensor needs to be 1.5mm from the crank pulley, is this correct ?? & if replaced will this solve the problem ?

No way of being sure. Anyone who breaks a TDC sensor and glues it back together (on a customer's car :bang:) is a fool. So, replace the sensor.

Check when the cam belt was last replaced, see if you can get the codes read (not sure if the 16v is OBD2 compliant).

They're great engines, but they do need a lot of love.
